Getting healthy and staying fit is no easy task. However, maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle can be more difficult than the road you took to get there. One way to keep up your healthy lifestyle is to share your story with others and stay accountable for the changes you've made.
Here are a few ways to help maintain your healthy habits.
- Say it out loud. Often times, the act of saying something out loud will motivate you to follow through on a goal you have set. If your goal is to bring your lunch four times a week instead of purchasing every day, tell a coworker about it and see how you stick to your word!
- Write yourself a note. We all have problem areas around the house or office that tempt us in our weakest moments. Write your goal on a sticky note and put it on or near that tempting location. For example, an appropriate note to stick on the refrigerator might say "Eat more fruit!" Learn more ways to meet your fitness goals by doing quick and easy exercises in your own home..
- Make a healthy suggestion for the whole group. Everyone can benefit from healthy lifestyle changes. Stay accountable to your goals by suggesting minor changes for your coworkers or family. Replace the cookie jar with a bowl of fruit or sugar-free hard candy. The people around you will thank you for the suggestion!
